Thank you IET-DAVV!

It's been SO long since my blog has been updated. I just noticed that my blog completed an year on May 7th.

30th April was the day I gave my last viva, the last exam of my engineering life. And 3rd was the day the result came while me and some of my friends were having fun at a waterpark nearby. And voila! I'm done with my engineering now.

In retrospect, the last 4 years don't look like they were long 4 years, the time seems to have passed by quickly. And it's a big list, perhaps I can write a book on all what happened in the last four years, unlike the school days. In short it's a list of some things I accomplished that I dreamt of when stepping in the college, and a big list of what I wished to accomplish but which still remain a part of the long list still to be accomplished!

The four years at IET-DAVV indeed have been full of both fun and learning. There's so much to thank the college for the same. Running after projects and doing them, help from the seniors and helping them in their work were how the first two years passed by. What I earned? There was so much to learn! What I missed? The outgoing life an engineering student should have. Good that I got to think about myself after the first two years and the last two years were completely different - casual about studies and full of fun! The third year brought a big change and that was the time that I feel I started thinking about myself, also we were the first and the very lucky batch of the college to be placed in the third year itself. The final year was more casual, with the projects completing at the deadlines, plus so much more with things that should better be left unsaid. Seniors, faculties at IET-DAVV have been very helping. The fact that college is autonomous makes it stand different from other colleges in the same region. The college celebrated its 10 years of academic glory recently. With many achievements in last 10 years, IET-DAVV certainly stands tall amongst all the other colleges in this very region. Again, there's so much to thank the college for. Thank you IET-DAVV.

Something weird! In these last four years we've develpoed our own vocabulary and some "weird scales" to rate people (karat scale being one of the many). My post of this book of mine named "Yet Another Encyclopedia" is due which contains some 'yet-another' terms for every incident we've come across in these years. But then I feel a blog is not a place to post such things, so it's better to leave it for the time to come.

And now I feel I've known myself better all these years. I've noticed my love for music (read Heavy Metal) has grown exponentially in all these years. During the times that everything kept me in a low and depressed mood, music was and still is the one thing that is holding the life from one hand. And this continues to this very date when I'm busy downloading 20-25 bands under each of my favorite heavy metal subgenres these days so that I can take them to where I'll work in the coming time (the joining date of TCS as always is still not known) and explore this form of music more and more, discovering new bands on the path of exploration. Keeping the music aside, other things that got me interested into them were bikes and hollywood flicks. Not just the interests, but I've known myself better as a person through my freinds. Needless to say, I've made so many friends all these four years (from both my college and others, through similar intersts of heavy metal and bikes), and I'm sure gonna miss the group (our group) of four-penguins-from-Madagascar. :D But we'll stay in touch.

And things to regret? There are two I can think of! One being not giving time to guitar of what someone passionate about the same should have given, the other again is better left unsaid.

Here's the pic of our batch from the last day in college:

There's so much to write but time limits it all. May be in the coming post.

See ya!

PS: For those who are crazy about music, I came across this website http://www.last.fm which is a place to share your music interests. What one hears at home from his/her media player gets updated there as a list. One can see what are the other bands that are similar to what one hears, recieve/recommend music form/to others. It's a good place to discover new bands and research them deep, down under. :D Here in the blog, below the shoutbox are my most heard bands and songs with the link to my last.fm profile.

its funny how in jus few yrs , college changes our life...its here we learned to bunk classes , here we realises how to "misuse" our newly found freedom , here we r treated as "individuals" ,here we met our "first" not-so-real crush , suddenly life seems so beautiful , n all of a sudden we r conscious of how we look , how we dress n above all /...college gave us our "individuality"....may be dat s d best part abt coll life....ughh...!!!!!..m already missin my coll!!!ha ha ha!!

There are growing cases of Autonomous universities where in when if a teacher have any grudges with any student uses his powers to spoil student's career i.e. evaluation of answer sheets, viva marks, sessional marks. Also there are cases where in students who have got 03 marks in a subject got 52 marks in revaluation(For revaluation copies goes to another university or different college of the same university). The last and the most important thing some of the prestigious autonomous colleges are so busy with their work that they don't get time to update information over their websites regarding last date of revaluation... i say this is such a nice way to not to allow a student to fill revaluation form. and even Administration deptt. of these colleges are so busy that they don't attend enquiry calls most of the times. Then how come a student from his home during his semester break can come to know about important updates from college especially when he is new in college. This is such a ridiculous way to harass a student and take a revenge, or to indirectly ask them for money. If a future of the nation has to take his education in such a way its better not to study. All have right to livelihood , right to speak truth, and right to information. I request all people to share this as much as possible , may be it will reach to those few people who might have done something like this with any student.
