4 Down 0 to Go!
The theory spree has finally ended. The only part that still remains to be conquered is the viva-one that start from today.
The last exam, SSP (Server Side Programming - JSP, Servlets) kind of went well. Two days before the paper we received news, rather rumor that the paper is sure to contain two questions - to design and implement a Math tutor web application, and a Hospital management web application. The reason why we didn't consider it as baseless was that the other section had a teacher who couldn't complete the course in due time and our section was taught by one of the best Java faculties in town and our college, Ms. R.K. Now one thing peculiar about this lady is, she can make you slog heavily for exams just because she's infamous for giving assignments regularly that NEED to be submitted on time and you can't help it - you HAVE to do them on your own and submit them. She's also infamous for the exam papers that are kind of a summary to the course, and that contain a 40 marks compulsory question on application development. And hence, you don't have a chance of leaving any part because that, if done may turn out to be suicidal at the end of the day.
We made that math tutor application taking the help of a friend, understood the structure and were ready, almost confident that it's sure to come because the other class hasn't been taught much at this level and hence their teacher can give them a clue on what should be done at the last time to just pass. Hearsay, as it all turned out at the 11th hour. The paper had a strange application that needed to be programmed at the real time. I could complete about 80% of it and I'm glad about the 80% part because I couldn't have done any better.
But this faculty that taught us SSP should be credited for how she made us work like dogs. The other section couldn’t attempt the paper in its entirety.
Two days back, I heard my mom talking to our servant's daughter while she was teaching her. Mom asked her, how did her exam go? She told that teachers asked them to open up the books and then attempt the exam because this time the copies are to be sent to an administrative department that will check of how the government school she's in is functioning and how much have the poor students benefited by the same. That's the way the government schools are, here in MP. I know two more similar instances where government school teachers, for their sake, of job asked out the students to cheat, or wrote up the answers on board and asked students to copy them. Why do the government teachers here do it this way? That’s because if they don’t, they are going to lose the job when an evaluation regarding them is done. This is how the system here in government school works. Seeing the things this way, I wonder how would India be if we have every teacher like Ms. R.K. :D
For those like me, who love deadlines and detest studies the life would have been miserable. I respect that lady for how she made us work for exams and the subject. Had I been in another section, the paper would have turned out to be a fatal one for me.
That marks the end of the theory exams. The vivas start from today. Being done with theory exams, cracking vivas aren’t a big thing.
We've witnessed the warring guns, and so this too shall pass. :D
See ya!
