Family Feuds

Yes. The Ambani matter is over and this isn't an attempt like media and the newspapers to still keep polls, and have public opinion after the case is settled. Just after the Michael Jackson case got over and he wasn't found accused, TOI, on the very next day conducted a public poll asking, "Do you still think he's a culprit?". Now when the case's over, court has made its final decision why's there a need to drag Jackson back in the court? It’s sad, on the part of media and newspapers that they never end an issue. This post, though deals with the Family Feud what everyone recently saw in Ambani brothers' case doesn't attempt to do the same.

But just after the Ambani feud ended, I have something new to look upon unlike a goliath distribution as in case of Ambanis. A distant relative of mine today was discussing with my Dad about the problems over the right distribution of the will and wealth among him and his siblings. He was here to take some advice on the same and meet us. I was studying near by for the test I have tomorrow. They didn't mind me sitting near by and hearing the matter.

Like my relative sees it, the situation has come when they feel like everything should now be distributed equally. No doubt, they all are married now which may be one cause of such a need for distribution because they all have their own families now. For the things I've personally seen, I think its right. In order to have everything settled they should do it, distribute equally. There's no other option that seems to work well for them.

But why can't such siblings live like brothers, like brothers they were before getting married to their spouses. The bible says:

"Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation. And every city and house divided against itself shall not stand".

Anil Ambani, on the very next day after the settlement of the Reliance issue wrote in the "Speaking Tree" in TOI's Edit page, talking about renunciation and some similar spiritual thoughts and the very next day the same page had a brief case on his statement with someone asking him, "Where were these spiritual thoughts when you were asking for your share?". Though the stock market is on rise after just a few stimulating statements by Mr. Ambani, the future of Reliance is still unpredictable. Wish you luck Reliance! Everyone wants it to grow, after all it contributes a lot to India's GDP and it’s the brainchild of the great businessman Dhirubhai Ambani.

Similar is a case of my relative and the case is unpredictable too. The best thing about this life is again, its unpredictability. That's what makes it exciting, right? Had we known what we're destined to what our future will be, life would have no excitement left. It would have been no better than a dried lemon (If life gives you a (dried) lemon, will you make a lemonade?).

But I still don't understand, why can't you live like brothers? Is it the greed, or just the need? Had it been need, it would never ever require a distribution of wealth.

yeah v true!..life s exciting coz of its unpredictable nature...
abt bro s cant live like bros. The problem arises with one s quest for individualism.Satisfying one 's individual aspirations , and ego hastles..i mean there are loads of issues...in a joint family , evone differs from
evone..and when gradually they
grow up , their personalities clash.Evone wants to satisfy his personal aspirations , every individual differs from other and then they look for external help for discoverin their original self(coz in a joint family, there s an established authority and established code ,rules and a way of living)..and then it leads of differences..
individualism is wat distinguishes modern indian society and ancient indian society...oh i can give a whole lecture on the topic...coz we had this topic in our sub during first yr,,,it was in eco history...and this was the easiest topic...:)...and btw personally i dont mind division of property as long as love exists btw the family...
